Quote of the Week

Each week I look for a quote that inspires me, makes me think, makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, or just tickles my fancy. I decided to share them here! Check out last week’s quote here.

Over the weekend I was doing some random Internet browsing and I came across the most inspirational blog post I’ve seen in a long time. It is simple, but powerful (no pun intended – see below).

“You Have the Power”

By Corbett Barr

“It’s easy to give other people power.

It’s easy to let them define you, to let them take leadership roles and say what’s what and create the rules that you live by.

It’s incredibly difficult to realize that the power you seek exists within yourself. No one needs to give you permission.

You have the power.

You have the power to create your own qualifications.

You have the power to be competent, inspiring, passionate, obsessed, provocative, impatient, hungry, driven, adoring, inspired, an artist,
a genius or someone who cares.

You have the power to lose weight and get fit.

You have the power to get out of debt.

You have the power to learn new habits and kill bad ones.

You have the power to smile and be happy.

You have the power to find your passion and do something with it.

You have the power to become an expert on any subject you wish.

You have the power to live by any manifesto you like, or create your own.

You have the power to be your best self.

You have the power. Now what are you going to do with it?”
