Eco-Friendly Garden Wedding Invitations

Starting last December I had the absolute pleasure of working with a couple on their August wedding. Since they had only recently moved out to Los Angeles from Chicago, they decided to have their wedding back in Illinois where most of their family and friends are located. The ceremony was going to take place in a Church and the reception would follow at the Chicago Botanic Garden. They hoped to find save the dates and invitations that fit a garden theme. Further, the eco-conscious bride understood the impact that weddings have on the environment, so she also wanted to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Fortunately I have a whole assortment of products that are made out of 30% to 100% post-consumer fibers and are created without the use of chlorine compounds. These products’ manufacturer uses a significant amount of renewable energy resources and responsible forest management practices. So, with those two points in mind, we started on our journey to find them the perfect save the dates and invitations! Here is what we ended up with:

Eco Friendly Garden Save the Date

Eco Friendly Garden Invitation

Eco Friendly Garden Reception Card

Eco Friendly Response Postcard

The bride and groom opted for a lovely, simple design of outlined flowers on a vine in ecru and green. The textured paper and thermography writing (raised ink) add to the uniqueness and sophistication of the invitation suite. The reply postcard was chosen over the reply card and envelope to make RSVPing as easy and straightforward as possible. We did printed addresses for the save the dates and calligraphy for the addresses on the invitations.
I absolutely love this invitation suite and think it fit the couple and their event perfectly. Who knew that recycled paper could be so beautiful!?
Stay tuned for other projects for this lovely wedding and even more lovely couple!
